I know this is a form letter but please don't treat it like one. The signature below belongs to a real human being, a taxpaying member of the Hollywood community dedicated to do whatever it takes to save our Hollywood Community Courthouse. 

Every community should be blessed with their own community courthouse. Instead, I write this letter asking you to save the only community courthouse in existence in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Community Courthouse. 

We understand that last year’s budget crisis has caused the closing of our lock-up facility. We ask that no further reductions come to our courthouse. The community has worked too hard to give up all the success the Hollywood Courthouse has provided in our battle against crime. Now we are seeing the return of career criminals, drug dealers, gangs, and prostitutes to our streets having enjoyed a ride on the revolving doors of the downtown judicial system. They return to Hollywood without fail ‑ please help us. 

When the issue of the Hollywood Community Courthouse comes before you again, please ask that the lock-up facility be reinstated and that our courthouse be provided with what it needs to serve the Hollywood community again.
